This little pig is called "Le Cochonnet", which is Jersey French for 'Little Pig' or 'Piglet'. He is made from a Jersey pound note (yup, Jersey still has pound notes!). I grew up in Jersey and from the age of 15-18 lived in a housed called "Le Cochonnet" (and which I visit often as my mum still lives there), hence the inspiration to make a Pig from the jersey money! Jersey is a small island (45 square miles) which is part of the Channel Islands to the South of England and off the West coast of Normandy. It's more famous for cows then pigs.
